SHAHA 2013BY Team Honors Veteran with Handwritten Cards for Veterans Day

Hershey, PA – During a mid-October trip to Hershey for a tournament, our 2013 team took time to recognize and honor those who serve in the military. The kids thoughtfully decorated cards and wrote heartfelt messages to a U.S. Army Sergeant, expressing their gratitude for his service and dedication.

Their coach said this gesture came from the kids themselves; they were eager to do something meaningful for our service members. The children’s cards were filled with messages of thanks and encouragement, showcasing the team’s spirit of appreciation and respect.

“These kids really understand the sacrifice that goes into service,” the coach noted, adding that the experience taught them the value of giving back and honoring those who protect our freedoms. The team’s gesture serves as a heartwarming reminder of community and respect, especially as Veterans Day approaches this Monday.
