Coach and Player Development Staff

SHAHA is dedicated to growing the sport of hockey, the fundamental development of our players, and the coaches that guide them on their journey. We are fortunate to be assisted by a strong and experienced skills staff.

Mike Schall – Director of Player and Coach Development 
2022 Discover Exceptional Community Coach Mike Schall will coordinate all SHAHA skills development for the SHAHA Panthers. Mike has 20-years of coaching experience at all levels from 8U to 18U AAA and currently serves as head coach for the Bethel Park varsity program.

Ray Conway – Lead Skills Instructor
Coach Ray is back with the SHAHA family after leading Pens Elite teams for 16 years. In addition to head coaching experience, Ray has led skating and skills sessions for over a decade. He is a teacher and lifelong resident of the south hills.

Mike Yaremko – Goalie Instructor
Coach Yaremko has over 15 years of experience coaching goalies that have played in the AHL, ECHL, NCAA D1 & D3, USHL, ACHA, and various other leagues. He is also a goalie coach coordinator and strength and conditioning coach with USA Hockey. Mike holds a BS in sports management and exercise science. He owns Blue Paint Training, a hockey specific strength and conditioning facility. Mike is also a lead instructor at Shane Clifford Goalie School.

Chris Conway – Skills Instructor
Coach Chris will join the SHAHA family for his 1st season after a 10 year playing career. He started off playing here at SHAHA and worked his way up to play Juniors then NCAA college hockey. He was involved with coaching the Pens Elite as well as running Skills and Skating sessions for over 6+ years. He is excited to get back to where it all started for him as a player.

Tyler Andrew – Skills Instructor
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Coach Tyler has been involved in hockey as a player or coach for over 20 years. After graduating college in 2018 and ending his playing career, Tyler has been excited and energized to jump into the world of coaching and player development. Tyler has played for multiple amateur hockey organizations, Tier 1, NAHL, USHL as well as at Ferris State where he was part of the WCHA championship and played in the NCAA Tournament. Most recently Tyler is an Assistant Coach with Bethel Park High School Varsity Team.
